The Metal by Tenacious D | | | This is not for beginners. The drum patterns in this song are not your standard stuff, makes heavy use of double bass hits and bass alternation. Basically if you're not good with your foot this song will destroy you. The hand movements in it are no picnic either, many slow rolls and a couple fast rolls, hand alternation, and all the while you need to be keeping that odd beat with your foot.
If you're skilled enough to do all that advanced stuff this song is really, really fun. It's not too fast to be exhausting, and almost every second of it is interesting and exciting. Even after you perfect the song it'll be a blast to play in a band setting. Take a look at the chart, I ain't lyin'. |

Linger by The Cranberries | | | This song has no variety. You do a slow roll on the red drum, occasionally hitting the green, switching to the yellow and blue drums with the same pattern at the beginning/end of the song. Good song to ease into hand alternation rhythm, but not good for anything else really. |

Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand | | | I liked this song. It makes frequent use of 3-note ho/po strings to keep things interesting, and the rest is some interesting chord strumming that actually makes rhythmic sense. I think most people will enjoy this. |

Lucid Dreams by Franz Ferdinand | | | I didn't enjoy this song very much. There a lot of heavy chord strumming that changes position pretty fast and pretty often. The solo was pretty good, because it was so different from the rest of the chordy song. |

Do You Want To by Franz Ferdinand | | | This song's pretty eventful. It start out traversing the fretboard with several ho/po string, but after the intro is over you don't see any more of these. It's basically just going up and down/back and forth strumming single notes from that point. In the middle you'd expect there to be a solo but you just get a section where you alt-strum fast string of 6 notes for a bit. It's not bad, not great either. |

Ring of Fire by Social Distortion | | | The drums in here are faster than most people might be comfortable with. They don't change or slow down at any point, and the pattern you're playing isn't the best. It's basically just a keep the beat song. |

Ring of Fire by Social Distortion | | | This has your typical punk pattern of strumming a bunch of chords, then doing a triple strum before changing chords. It has two solos that are almost exactly the same, but it's pretty fun considering it's just strumming single notes in a line, in that familiar Ring of Fire rhythm. |

Black Friday by Steely Dan | | | The main riff has you going back and forth across the guitar neck for a bit, then leads into a trill. As far as trills go, though, it's pretty short and not awkwardly placed so this could be a good place to practice your trills. It also has a couple solos that are pretty good and some neat flourishes throughout. |

Stupify by Disturbed | | | This one's pretty mediocre throughout, the patterns are easy to get used to and they repeat without much variation. Near the end the bass pedal picks up quite unexpectedly and that can kill a sightread. |

Stricken by Disturbed | | | This guitar chart is not much like its Guitar Hero 3 counterpart. Most of the ho/po's that were in it are now strummed notes. The 3 note chords are two-note chords, and the 2-note chords are single notes. It's sort of annoying to have to strum notes that I'm used to solo-ing, however the solo's pretty fun with one of those crazy patterns that you have to hold green and make your other fingers walk a staircase... or something. Anyway, it's worth getting. |

Stupify by Disturbed | | | The chorus is is a slightly awkward alt-strum section that leads into a hammer-on chord. The verses are easy sustains and single notes. The outro's kind of challenging with a quick chord to HO/PO sequence that repeats. There's no solo, so I'd rate it a low "good". |

Jailbreak (Live) by Thin Lizzy | | | This song has a really fun main pattern, which a bunch of triple hits and fast double bass hits, and fast rolls as wells. It mixes it together in a really cool way, and it goes pretty fast, so it never gets boring. Highly recommended song. |

Typical by Mute Math | | | This is a bassist that isn't content to just keep the beat. Plenty of variation throughout the song while keeping the same overall feel. Frequent use of ho/po's. It also keeps going even when the guitar is doing its sluggish riffs in the middle of the song. This is a must-have for any bass enthusiast, and it wouldn't be bad at all for someone who usually plays guitar. |

Space Cowboy by Steve Miller Band | | | The main riff is pretty good, and doesn't really get boring. It's basically going up the fretboard with single notes, punctuated by a 3-note hammer-on sequence. It changes a little here and there, and the solo is a lot like the rest of the song except with more frequent 3-note hammer-on sequences. I'd say this is probably the highlight of the week on guitar, it's pretty fun. |

Space Cowboy by Steve Miller Band | | | The first song to have two drum solos, and they're pretty crazy, like the intro of Master Exploder. It has lots of hand alternation and some constant bass work. It's a great drum song, but personally I feel like it doesn't change things up enough to get a Superb. I find myself slightly bored in the main sections after doing the alternating pattern for the 100th time, but it's very manageable and is still an excellent song. |

Typical by Mute Math | | | This song feels awesome. Very fun bass patterns, fun rolls, and even some Foreplay-esque double-snare hits in various places in the song. The drum track in this song is very prominent (not in the background), so it feels good to drum it just by the way it sounds. Definitely nothing boring about this song, highly recommended. |

Take the Money and Run by Steve Miller Band | | | This is one of my favorite drum songs. It starts off with a drum solo and has a bunch of rolls and fun hand alternation throughout it. After solo it's the same sort of feel (meaning, this entire song feels like a drum solo). It never really lets up, goes at a comfortable pace, and changes so much that it makes it one of this games most engaging drum experiences. |

Space Truckin' by Deep Purple | | | This song requires a lot of fast sticking and technical skill. It starts out with your typical hi-hat/hi-hat+snare rhythm, but throughout it there are several snare rolls that appear to be 32nd notes, so it's faster than the average RB is used to playing. The drum solo is pretty cool, starting with a 32nd roll and going into a faster-than-usual off-beat pattern. There's also a Who-esque constant bass with several fills near the end (I think I saw drum zig-zags!), finishing with a fast and difficult off-beat pattern that is tough to pass. This song is challenging and interesting. |

Sin Wagon by Dixie Chicks | | | This is fun song to just belt out the words in your best southern accent. As far as challenge goes, it's got a lot of sudden highs and lows to keep you on your toes. It's just really fun. |

Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go) by Dierks Bentley | | | Sort of slow in pace like the other songs, but unlike those this song actually keep you hand moving. It also has some fast ho/po change ups, so this song is actually pretty good on bass. |

Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go) by Dierks Bentley | | | This is a little more chordy than the other country songs, but don't worry, there's still plenty of long HO/PO chains in it to make everything awesome. It lacks a big solo like the others too, but the non-solo stuff makes up for it. |

Gunpowder and Lead by Miranda Lambert | | | This song is reeeeally slow to start, and the tempo is a notch slower than I'd like, but it sort of picks up near the end. There's some HO/PO sequences scattered throughout to keep you entertained. Nothing remarkable about this song on bass. |

Gunpowder and Lead by Miranda Lambert | | | This one is a little tricky. Like the other Country songs it has a lot of HO/PO sequences, but these tends to go back and forth across the entire fretboard (like G to Y to O and stuff like that). The chorus is nothing special, just some chord changing, and the solo is pretty fun and slow enough for the average person to be able to hit everything. So, overall it's a fun song with just a dash of trickiness. |

Mud On The Tires by Brad Paisley | | | This bass chart isn't as boring as some stuff in the past, but it doesn't ever really get going. It takes a while to start and then you just do short held notes slowly moving across the fret board. There's a couple (and by that... I meant two) ho/po sequences but it doesn't make it much more interesting. |

Mud On The Tires by Brad Paisley | | | This is a great guitar song. It's filled with HO/PO's, doesn't go too fast, and it's always interesting. The solo gets pretty challenging too. If you're an average skilled expert player you can't go wrong with this.

Gunpowder and Lead by Miranda Lambert | | | This song is actually pretty forgettable on drums. It makes heavy use of the green note, with an occasionally offbeat snare. There are a few rolls that move up and down the chart, but they're so slow anybody should be able to hit them just fine. Overall it doesn't offer much challenge or any memorable moments. |

Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go) by Dierks Bentley | | | Lots of snare rolls in this song (though broken up and sped up in certain parts to make it challenging), followed by that off-beat sort of pattern you find in songs like The Hand That Feeds. Sometimes it mixes the two, and it makes for a drumming experience that'll keep you on your toes but not mess with you too much. |

Mud On The Tires by Brad Paisley | | | This song is pretty leisurely, but it makes heavy use of hi-hat/ride triplets, which breaks up the monotony during what would otherwise be a simple pattern. The other major pattern is a slow snare roll broken up by the yellow note, which is pretty fun. This song may be simple, but there's plenty of curve balls thrown to make it tricky to FC, and the replay value in a full band is pretty high. |

Sin Wagon by Dixie Chicks | | | Well, this is something a little out of the ordinary. You start out by keeping a steady bass beat while doing two or three snare hits at a time, and while that may not sound special, it's hard not get into the country rhythm. After that you get a pretty standard bass-heavy pattern, but it's fast and there's plenty of little fills to keep you entertained along the way. I really liked this song. |

Sin Wagon by Dixie Chicks | | | This song is really, really confusing. It's completely littered with HO/POs, in a bunch of patterns that I've never seen before and didn't quite know how to do at first. It gives you little breaks after each difficult section, which makes it passable, but it's still pretty difficult. The solos are insane as well, with trills and zig-zags going everywhere.
I'll give it a "great" because it's definitely not boring, but it gives me the impression of a song that's trying too hard to be impossible (maybe overcharted). If you want a challenge without the usual metal sound, this is definitely for you. The only difference is you're shredding banjo instead of electric guitar. |

Sin Wagon by Dixie Chicks | | | This song is kind of a mixed bag. At first it start up with a pretty slow up and down single note pattern, and it seems like it's going to be boring. But you get some strummed triplets every now and then to keep it interesting, and even some HO/POs. Near the end of the song is picks up and you get some fast strumming, some 4-5 hammer-on note cascades, and some other tricky fret work. It's definitely a unique bass chart and gives variety, if you don't mind the pacing. |

Ex-Girlfriend by No Doubt | | | This song has a very cool beat to it, with some stuff you don't see too often. It's hard for me to explain, but it has some really groovy hand alternating patterns and a neat little breakdown characterized by hand alternation and snare triplets. The rest of the song has your basic double bass rhythm, but it's energetic and gives a punk vibe. It's hard for me not to get into this song, you should check it out for yourself. |

Excuse Me Mr. by No Doubt | | | This song has a punk-like beat, with off-beat fast repetitive bass pedal. However, there's a fun section in the middle that's a back-and-forth roll between the red and yellow notes, which makes it pretty entertaining for me. And also a cool drum outro. This song has character. |

Don't Speak by No Doubt | | | I think this is the first song with a three-note hammer-on chord. That's really the only tricky part of this song. Most of it is characterized by average tempo chord strumming (with a lot of 3-note chords), and then a really cool but simple spanish-style solo. Nothing bad to say about it, really. |

Ex-Girlfriend by No Doubt | | | An okay song with a driving single note rhythm, with occasional sustains, and a solo with really fast Thrasher-like strumming that comes out of nowhere. The solo is the only part you'll have any trouble with. However, it all sounds very nice and moves around the fretboard enough to keep interesting. |

Something in the Way by Nirvana | | | A lot of slow held notes. It mixes it up in the middle but giving you 3-note chords to hold for a while, but doesn't change much after that. |

Something in the Way by Nirvana | | | It's a very somber and haunting song. The way he's singing it sounds like he doesn't have much energy, but that's the way it's supposed to sound, distant and sort of depressing. Like Polly, this is a nice acoustic song to sing but doesn't have much to bring you back to it. This one also happens to be pretty repetitive. |

Polly by Nirvana | | | It's a nice acoustic song for you to sing. Lyrics are interesting, but you can get the hang of it pretty fast because there isn't much variety. It all stays in the mid-pitch range and isn't very challenging. |

Polly by Nirvana | | | You're pretty much playing the same chords over and over at a pretty slow pace. The experience isn't unbearable, but there isn't anything in this song that'll make you want to come back to it. |

Stay Away by Nirvana | | | Only two parts to this song, the low-pitched "Money see monkey do -- I don't know whyy" part, and the rest of the song you just sing "stay awaaaay" in a moderately high pitch. Not much in the way of variety. |

Stay Away by Nirvana | | | It's a chordfest like most Nirvana songs. The only real break you get from alternating chords is the little riff you play during the "I don't know whyyy" part. It didn't really hold my attention, it just felt like more of the same. |

Stay Away by Nirvana | | | This is a very fast song with epic drum rolls. You pretty much know from the first 5 seconds if you're going to be able to pass it or not, because it starts with a nice long drum roll with tons of pedal in it. That happens again twice, once in the middle and once at the end. In between you get a pretty fun alternating tom pattern.
Overall, if you like doing fast drum rolls and are a pretty good drum player this song is very exciting and fun to play. However, it's one of those songs that you can fail pretty fast if you get off beat. |

Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue | | | This song is exactly the opposite of Dr. Feelgood. Fast rides on the hi-hat (like in Let There Be Rock), and slow sections where its just bass+notes repeating. I found it frustratingly fast in the ride sections and frustratingly simple in the slow sections. |

Dr. Feelgood by Motley Crue | | | It's not a very fast moving song, and doesn't really have any rides on the hi-hat or other cymbals. The bass pedal tends to hit after or before other notes instead of with them. It's certainly a little out of the ordinary but not very challenging. |

Dr. Feelgood by Motley Crue | | | The main riff is a pattern that you don't see to often, it's pretty fun to do once you figure it out. You just have to keep your finger on green and tap the other notes.
The solo's pretty fun too, a bit on the hard side. A lot of rapid strumming and fast cascading triplets. The triplets go right to left, though, which makes them harder than they would be left to right.
So, overall it's an interesting and challenging song. |

Love Spreads by The Stone Roses | | | Nothing else in the game is quite like this drum chart. It actually kind of makes my head hurt, it uses bass in confusing ways and forces you to do some odd stuff. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary and challenging then this is a good song. However, even though it's a good challenge I don't find myself wanting to play it that much on drums. |

Love Spreads by The Stone Roses | | | This is a very trippy song. The vocal track is very smooth and relaxing, almost hypnotic. When it fluxuates its pitch it does so pretty slowly, so it's not that hard to sing even if you've never heard it. The lyrics are pretty engaging and interesting as well. |

Pretty Fly (for a White Guy) by The Offspring | | | If you want a good campy song to sing around your friend this certainly fits the bill. The fact that all the non-chorus parts are talky takes out a huge portion of the challenge, though, and I don't think I'll ever go back to sing this without some peer pressure involved. |

Cream and Bastards Rise by Harvey Danger | | | You do a pretty standard beat for the majority of the song but the little rolls you do every 15 seconds or so keep the song interesting. This isn't a bad song at all. |

Cream and Bastards Rise by Harvey Danger | | | If you try to sing this song like a robot, you are missing out on an experience. The lyrics are pretty funny and quirky, the vocal chart goes up and down a lot ensuring a lot of vocal diversity. And I must admit, I'm a big fan of songs with maniacal laughter in them (like Action and Inside the Fire). It's pretty difficult, though, so be ready for a challenge. If you're a vocals player you'll probably have a soft spot in your heart for this song. |

Stop! by Against Me! | | | Basically all this is is a repeating cymbal + bass/snare pattern. I happen to enjoy this pattern, and it's very simple and easy to get the beat and just groove with the song. It's just the sort of song that is enjoyable even though it's so simple. |

Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood | | | Vocals would appear to be the highlight of this song, but the fact that the b-b-b-b-b-bad part isn't at least partly talky ruins the experience a bit. I haven't been able to sing that part naturally and get more than an Okay. |

Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood | | | You'll be repeating that main riff a lot, even during the solos. And the solos are very chordy. Anything that isn't the main riff is mostly a wall of 3-note chords. There's also a lot of waiting around. Your love for the song may allow you to look past that, though. |

Push It by Static-X | | | Fast hi-hat pattern (similar to Everlong), and also a fun alternating pattern (similar to sections of Sprode/Hand That Feeds). I happen to enjoy both of those, so I liked this song, but that's really all that's going on. |

Push It by Static-X | | | Very badly repetitive and awkward. Unless you're a god at changing chords you probably won't like this song. Think the chordy section of Down with the Sickness... without anything else to keep you interested. |

My Lovely Man by Red Hot Chili Peppers | | | This is one of the more difficult guitar songs, but it's pretty fun if you can do the odd chord/hopo mixture that you play during the chorus. The Power of Equality by Red Hot Chili Peppers | | | Has a bass pattern to don't see too much in other songs. It's sort of off-beat, and has a fast hi-hat section. And it's fast enough to keep you interested. Get it for the slight challenge but keep it for the good times. |

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers | | | Kind of funky, with slow hammer-on chords in the beginning and a steady strum before the chorus. During the chorus there's a lot of fun stuff going on with cascades from right to left. Repeats a bit. Then the solo is pretty fun, but ends up with a completely random and insane fast chord strumming section just before it ends. It's probably an acquired taste. |

They're Red Hot by Red Hot Chili Peppers | | | Hahah, this song was absolutely hilarious. The lyrics scroll too fast for you to actually read so you end up babbling a lot of it (I think the actual singer babbles a bit himself). They're Red Hot by Red Hot Chili Peppers | | | Like Xygni said, this is like the rapid-bass section of Everlong, only for the entire song. It's only about a minute long, so it's passable. I recommend it, but only to upper-level expert players. |

Tom Sawyer (Original Version) by Rush | | | Again, feels more fun than the RB1 version. I always found the RB1 version awkward at several parts but this one wasn't. The ho/pos in the main section are now chords and overall there are more (and more conveniently placed) ho/pos. Solo is a about the same, it seems like the zig-zag is easier to hit. Definitely worth getting. |

Young Man Blues (Live at Leeds) by The Who | | | I very rarely have the energy or willingness to finish this song. The song overstays its welcome after like five minutes of seemingly random pedal patterns and ridiculous fills. Sorrow by Bad Religion | | | I wouldn't call the guitar bad, but it's definitely an acquired taste. You strum chord chordchord chordchord in a couple of different ways, and that's basically it. Charlene (I'm Right Behind You) by Stephen and the Colberts | | | Lacking in diversity, but the blue-note drums sound awesome and the song doesn't go on long enough for it to get old. Nice simple pattern to keep. |

Charlene (I'm Right Behind You) by Stephen and the Colberts | | | This is a free song and sometimes the sheer awesomeness of a song overpowers the technical fun of playing the chart, and this is one of those times.
The guitar in this song sounds so corny that it's just hilarious from the moment you start playing. |

Blinded by Fear by At the Gates | | | WTF was that? This song is just fast, and furious. Only people with the best reflexes and fastest sticking will be able to pass this one.
Want a tip to pass it? Ignore every other cymbal note during the fast parts. Instead of red+yellow, bass+yellow... do red, bass+yellow. This works because bass and red count more than yellow and if you can get a good rhythm going you won't even drop on the rock meter. |

Constant Motion by Dream Theater | | | This song is hand-crampingly bad. You'll have to alt-strum most of it because it goes too fast, and there are a lot of awkward chord changing spots. The chorus is a bunch of chord strumming. The solo is complete bullshit and it's completely impossible for any human to duplicate those movements on a fake plastic guitar. You'll have a hard time passing it.
If you're looking for a "challenge", this will probably work for you, but the solo really requires more luck than skill. Flail away on the Rock Band solo buttons! |

Livin' on the Corner of Dude and Catastrophe by MC Frontalot | | | Cool quirky rap-beat drums. There's really nothing else like it in Rock Band right now. It would be superb if there were a little more variety. |

Livin' on the Corner of Dude and Catastrophe by MC Frontalot | | | The alt-strumming riff is kind of fun, but it gets repeated over and over again. And there are some single notes. And there's lots of just waiting around. This is not a guitar song. |

Shhh.... by Darkest of the Hillside Thickets | | | Drums have a lot of triple bass beats, it's very Go With The Flow like, and feels like a Queens of the Stone Age song in general. Your foot might tire but there's a lot of varied patterns, fun rolls, and it's just an exciting song in general. |

Shhh.... by Darkest of the Hillside Thickets | | | It's a chord-fest, with some awkward chord changes. It might deserve 3 stars if not for the bullshit 30 second solo of short repeating held notes. |

Clouds Over California by DevilDriver | | | Extremely broken talky in the middle of the song. Make it impossible to FC. If not for that it would be 3 stars, but it's decent if you get into it and growl... and stuff. |

My Curse by Killswitch Engage | | | If I knew this song a little better it seems like it would be an awesome vocal. There's a questionable part in "THIS is MY curse", where the capital words are talky but the others aren't, it kind of throws you off. Other than that, fantastic song. |

Sleepwalker by Megadeth | | | Holy cow this song is awesome. The pattern might take some getting used to, but it's just really fun and quirky. It plays like a triple-bass beat, only with barely a pause at all. Just check out the chart and you'll know what I mean. It's a very welcome addition to the Rock Band setlist.

My Curse by Killswitch Engage | | | This song is pretty interesting. Only bad thing was a lot of starting and stopping (like, you'll do something and then 3 seconds later you'll do something else). I'm not sure how to describe it, haven't seen anything else like it in the game. It's definitely not a bad time, though. |

Clouds Over California by DevilDriver | | | The pedal that came with Rock Band will not be able to withstand too many sessions of this song. It is fast, and above all, exhausting. Think about the fast sections of the Disturbed songs, but for the entire song. Jesus Christ.
It does have replay value, but I think most people will dread having to drum this song. |

Sleepwalker by Megadeth | | | Make no mistake, this song is really really difficult. Some of it is just about getting the rhythm, but you also have to be pretty good with fast HO/PO zip-zags (tons of them in the song) and the solo seems to be an apocalyptic jumble of notes. This is definitely a song for people who want a challenge. |

Clouds Over California by DevilDriver | | | Bass doesn't really follow guitar very much until the very end. It's mostly moderately fast strumming, and the changes don't happen so fast that you can't prepare for them. Overall it mixes an average bass song with a dash of the fastness of the guitar (just enough not to get annoying). It fares pretty well. |

Clouds Over California by DevilDriver | | | Your love for this song will entirely depend on your love for fast strumming. Not only fast strumming, though, but intermittent fast strumming. A lot of the song goes "5fastnotes SHORTPAUSE 3fastnotes SHORTPAUSE 3fastnotes", rinse and repeat. If that's not your thing, don't get this song. |

My Curse by Killswitch Engage | | | Follows the guitar a lot, which isn't a bad thing. As with guitar, you just have to get the rhythm. There's some sections where instead of following guitar you just do some sustained notes. Overall a pretty exciting bass chart. |

My Curse by Killswitch Engage | | | If you can get the rhythm down for this song then it's actually pretty fun. It doesn't change tempo too much so you're pretty much constantly strumming, but you're moving your hand and fingers a lot. Then there's a couple rapid strumming parts which actually complement the song pretty well. |

Synchronicity II by The Police | | | Faster than average tempo on the hi-hat, and the song lasts for a while, so you get tired. My Iron Lung by Radiohead | | | This is on the border between being good and great. You knew it was a slow-moving song when you bought it, so you can't fault it for that. Those slow sections are actually pretty engaging.
The fast sections are where it's at, though. You get you do some cascading HO/PO's, some rapid strumming, it's crazy but oddly tame at the same time.

B.Y.O.B. by System of a Down | | | I'd like to say that I enjoyed this, and I knew it was going to be really hard, but damn. It's just extremely fast and all over the place. This song will murder your combo and force you to stretch you hand a lot.
And I can't discern what the rhythm is near the end of the song, it just seems like a random mess. Musically it's alright, but in practice it's like Keith Moon's drumming. Trying to recreate it note-for-note is an exercise in futility.
If you like hand mangling chaos then get this, otherwise steer clear. |

They Say by Scars on Broadway | | | It is pretty easy, the use of the pedal is pretty interesting, though. The only reason it's Tier 1 is because it's slow enough for you to actually follow the drum patterns. It seems like it would be good to train people on pedal usage.

They Say by Scars on Broadway | | | Exactly like guitar but without chords. Oh, and there's one of those trendy triplets that bassists like to throw in every once in a while. It does nothing to make the song more interesting. |

This Is It by Staind | | | Moves along at a slow pace, but it's not that bad. And there's some 3-4-note cascades you get to do every once in a while. |

This Is It by Staind | | | This song is just sort of... blah. You do some chords, then do some half-hearted single-note ho/po's every now and then.
And there's a solo, but it's only a solo in the way that "When You Were Young" has a solo. I really don't know how the song charters define a solo, but I wouldn't have considered this one.
Staind fans only. |

They Say by Scars on Broadway | | | This song is the very definition of a chord-fest. You alternate like three sets of chords and it never changes. It might have been more interesting if you got to play the high pitched wah-wah-wah-wah-wah guitar during the chorus, but you just keep playing the same thing. |

Capital G by Nine Inch Nails | | | This song is mostly talkies followed by a pitch-based chorus. None of the talkies are broken that I can tell.
The lyrics are pretty campy and funny, definitely a good song to just goof around on. It's also a catchy tune. |

Burn by Nine Inch Nails | | | I agree with Billtvshow that it's pretty difficult to find the right pitch. There are sections in this song where I struggle to survive even though I know the song pretty well.
The chorus/talkies seem easier to hit than the rest of the song. I'd say this one is only for NIN fans, or those that enjoy yelling and setting things on fire. |

Last by Nine Inch Nails | | | The vocals on this song have a lot of energy and tend toward the upper pitch levels. This usually spells death for me, but I was able to just sing naturally and pull off a 94%. It seems very well charted and the lyrics are wonderfully dark. |

Junkies for Fame by Shinedown | | | Chord strumming, but not of the frustrating variety. Interesting little twists, and a fun guitar solo. This is a really good guitar song. |

Devour by Shinedown | | | To be honest, this song is nothing but fast and frustrating chord strumming. Maybe that's your thing, but I didn't really enjoy it too much. |

Last by Nine Inch Nails | | | Has a cool little riff followed by some rapid strumming. There's also parts where it goes into a sort of mini-guitar-solo and those are pretty fun to play.
Some people think it doesn't end soon enough, but I don't think that's too much of a problem. It's sort of the NIN style to build and climax like that. If that doesn't bother you then this is a great guitar song. |

Capital G by Nine Inch Nails | | | Doesn't get started until the chorus, but then goes into some chord strumming, then some interesting little riffs thrown in every now and then. Some of it is stuff I've never seen in any other song, so it's interesting.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and rate it great because I think it would be a really good full band experience. And it's still pretty good if you're by yourself, you just have to overlook how long it takes for it to start. |

Capital G by Nine Inch Nails | | | The bass isn't just constant strumming, it has a little style to it. It doesn't change much throughout the song but it makes all of the funky sounds that you hear. This song just lets you get into the groove. |

Last by Nine Inch Nails | | | Simply put, this is an awesome bassline. Think of a slightly tamer version of Hysteria, but not by too much. It goes back and forth a lot, and varies in style enough not to get old. This song did not disappoint. Must-have for bassists. |

Burn by Nine Inch Nails | | | Well, this is a lot worse than the guitar. I mean, sure the bassline you're playing in the main part is okay, but it takes way too long to get started. And then when everything goes crazy on the rest of the instruments the bass is just kind of half-heartedly plugging away. Not very enjoyable. |

Burn by Nine Inch Nails | | | This song really surprised me. Yeah, there's some dead space, but when you're actually playing it's pretty awesome. For some reason I had imagined a big wall of chords during the chrous when everything goes crazy, but it was a pretty manageable HO/PO pattern instead. Actually, I guess I'm kind of let down by that. =)
And I don't care what anyone says, playing the synth sounds awesome too. How could you pay money for a NIN song and then be angry that you play synth?
I'd say it a very enjoyable guitar song in a full band. However, don't get this if you play by yourself and get frustrating by a little wait time and pauses. |

Junkies for Fame by Shinedown | | | This song seems pretty average to me. The only thing that stands out are the sections where you're hitting two drums a lot. It's still pretty good. |

Devour by Shinedown | | | Well, this certainly gets points for originality. It's a very fast-paced bass-oriented song. Lots of triple beats, lots of fun rolls.
You don't often see a lot of bass beats without other notes in the mix. It reminded me a lot of Go With The Flow for that reason. Best drum song of the week.
It's kind of amusing to hear how silent your drumset is when you're playing this because it's mostly pedal. |

Capital G by Nine Inch Nails | | | Has an above-average tempo on the hi-hat and rides. You basically repeat the same pattern over and over again, but it gets a little more interesting in the last 20 seconds. Probably the worst NIN drum song, but I still had fun with it. |

Last by Nine Inch Nails | | | This is a song that has a lot of emphasis on the drum beat, and it just feels really cool to be playing along with it. It has 3 basic patterns, one that is is easy-going and just allows you to get in the groove, one that is really fast paced and intense, and and one that is off-beat.
The intense one isn't as fast as The0ldMan made it out to be. It's fast, but not so fast as to be impossible. I'd say it's about 2/3 as fast as Blinded By Fear.
I didn't have too much trouble with it, and found it to a be a lot of fun. |

Promised Land by Vesuvius | | | It's not too exciting. The solo is pretty cool but isn't as cool as most people make it out to be. It's just a zig-zag that goes slow enough for most people to follow it. |

Snow (Hey Oh) by Red Hot Chili Peppers | | | It's a pretty repetitive song that is hard to keep a combo on.
However, it will test your alt-strumming skills in new and interesting ways.
