Not that this is huge news, the pack has been out at $40 for about a year now. But still, if you had a grudge against Wal-Mart or simply didn’t want to have to pay $40 for some AC/DC tracks, the whole pack will be for sale at $30 at other retailers later this summer.
And yes, new copies of the game come with a code in the manual that allows you to export all the songs to Rock Band 2.

Just FYI for fellow Canucks, I saw the AC DC track pack today at Future Shop / Best Buy for $9.99.
haha ya, its been at Future shop for a long time, I bought it there about 2-3 months ago I think.
For what it’s worth, the Wal-Mart by my house marked the pack down to $30 a while ago.
After this, and the Pearl Jam “Best Buy exclusives” showing up as DLC, I’m beginning to think we should assume “exclusive” means “timed exclusive.”
Yeah I bought it for $30 from walmart.com back in February. Despite the fact that there is a wal-mart 5 miles from my house (Which could describe about 90% of the population of the US I guess) I paid the $2.99 shipping charge so I wouldn’t actually have to go in to wal-mart. I hate that place that much.
Hah, they’re $10 to $20 now. I’d be surprised if you could find one for $40.
if Gamestop has this on sale next year like they did in Canada I’ll finally buy it
It’s a great, great pack…dont let the fact that its live throw you as they are a spot on live band…now about getting more Bon Scott DLC…
I live in Toronto and got it at EB Games for $9.99
It’s a pitiful pack for anyone who isn’t a guitarist, and even guitar has a few weak tracks
unfortunately, while I love AC/DC, this is pretty true. Bass is usually straight-eights the whole way (although there are a handful of tracks with more variety), and drums are mostly straight beats. The vocals can be tricky, but more because Brian Johnson is a hard voice to mimic, especially live. Doing well on vocals is probably harder than guitar, in my opinion.
The guitar part does have some hard stuff in it. I still have troubles with Thunderstruck on expert. Too “through the fire and flames”-esque. at the beginning
what places have this pack because I am interested in getting it
Is this really Wal-Mart Exclusive in the U.S for $40?
Here in Canada, or Ontario at least it can be seen at EB Games for $9.99 or Future Shop or Best Buy for $40.
If I sent you $15 through PayPal, could you pick up a copy at EB Games and mail it out to me? The cheapest I can find it in Vancouver is $35.
I dunno, those drums have quite a bit of variety… not.
They’re good for practicing endurance though, especially on “Let There Be Rock”. The studio version was tiring enough!
oh definitely. Especially the ~14 minute Jailbreak. Although Let There Be Rock is one of the harder tracks, bass and drums. The tempo is about twice as fast as the original studio version, and its ~11 minutes long. Crazy stuff.
Although neither the bass nor the drums have anything exceptionally tricky. Like I said, drums mostly have straight beats and bass is mostly straight-eights.
This sucks. Here is the UK we just get ripped off time after time. People say they can get it for as cheap as $10? I can’t find it for less that £27 in England…
“And yes, new copies of the game come with a code in the manual that allows you to export all the songs to Rock Band 2.”
Unless you have a Wii, where your only option will be to dump the disk and load the songs onto an SD card with RawkSD.
@GuyMonkey
I had to pay 35, im from vancouver too, are you directly in vancouver? or fraser valley? im in abby, it would be cool to meet up sometime (im trying desperately to find other people to play rockband with)
It’s actually $10 at EB Games right now as part of Game Days. I picked it up yesterday. Anyway, I’m actually in Burnaby. My Gamertag is the same as my username here if you’re on the 360. Add me up sometime and we can rock it next time you’re in the metro area.
I had the same problem, but I asked somebody in the USA to buy it for me and email just the code over, it’s not region locked! Unless you want the disk of course!
Damn there are alot of canadians on this site
I bought the AC/DC fan pack wich included a DVD of a concert and a t-shirt aswell as the game for $5 bucks at walmart. they started pulling games off the shelves to make room for the new ones and when I saw them I bought it, I also got a ps3 version that I gave away I don’t know why people hate walmart when you can get discounts like this, I love it.
