URG Interviews Bang Camaro
by Brian Shea, Band & Public Relations
Its been said that its lonely at the top. That phrase could never be applied to Bang Camaro. With a vocals section comprised of a choir of lead singers, the stage can tend to be a tad crowded. Ever since Guitar Hero 2 on the Playstation 2, Bang Camaro has appeared on every game made by Harmonix (with the exception of Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80’s), including Guitar Hero 2, Rock Band and Rock Band 2. Bang Camaro was even featured as downloadable content. Through their involvement with this rising genre of video games, Bang Camaro has developed a strong following. Bryn Bennett, co-founder and guitarist of Bang Camaro sat down recently to answer some questions from the UltimateRockGods.com membership.

UltimateRockGods.com: With that many singers and musicians on stage, does it ever feel like straight-up mass confusion when you trying new material?
Bryn Bennett: Oh yeah, always. Getting this band up to speed takes a bit longer than with a traditional 4-piece band, but the end product makes it all worth it.
URG: What is it like to have the constant backing of Rock Band and, formerly, Guitar Hero?
BB: It has been incredible. It’s the main reason that most people out there know who we are. We’ve been ridiculously fortunate to have the support of Harmonix up to this point.
URG: Can fans expect more of Bang Camaro in Rock Band anything soon?
BB: We would love to get more music as DLC for Rock Band 2, but it’s out of our hands. If you want to hear more of us, you should post in the forums at RockBand.com.
URG: I’ve heard that the name, “Bang Camaro” came from the fact that those are the two sexiest words in the English language. What are number 3 and 4 on that list? I’ll warn you though, whatever you say will probably end up being a band name on Rock Band sooner or later.
BB: Mustang Fingerbang

Their brand of 80’s metal is not only unique in this day and age, but also impressive in the sense of being able to recreate that “gang vocal” sound both live and in studio. Bang Camaro has always been one of the most well-liked bands in the Rock Band and Guitar Hero series. Their first album was a huge underground success and with around 30,000 fans on MySpace, their upcoming album is only going to reach new heights. No one can even try and guess at this point what heights it may reach, but from the sounds and responses of their loyal and new fans alike, their new material is just as well-liked as the stuff that got them to where they are today.
